From Opposing Views:
In a survey from Public Policy Polling, released Feb. 2, 40 percent of voters reported that they would like to see Trump impeached, though nearly half (48 percent) said that they would not support such an action. Only 35 percent of respondents supported impeaching the president just one week prior to the current survey.
“Usually a newly elected President is at the peak of their popularity and enjoying their honeymoon period after taking office right now,” said Public Policy Polling President Dean Debnam. “But Donald Trump’s making history once again with a sizeable share of voters already wanting to impeach him, and a majority of voters wishing they could have Barack Obama back.”
Indeed, 52 percent of respondents said that they would prefer the previous president — who has a 59 percent approval rating, according to Gallup — was still in office, while 43 percent said that they were happy with the current one, who has a 45 percent approval rating in Gallup polls.
